Woman exercising boxing. No two people are alike and therefore will have different needs and wants when it comes to selecting a fitness program. Some of us are looking for something fun, while others are looking for something more intense. The great thing is that there is a program out there for everyone! There are so many different varieties of programs and styles of workouts that are available today that there is no excuse for not getting out there and getting active! Depending on your personal goals, and what you want to get out of a workout, will ultimately help you decide which program will be the best for you. Check out these few fitness programs that offer a variety of workout styles:

1. Traditional Gym. Getting a gym membership seems to be the easiest way for people to workout, given the variety of equipment that gyms provide. Hitting the gym is great for people who want to mix up their workouts every now and then. It also allows for you to be in control of your own schedule. Many gyms cater their hours of operation to their customers, which gives them the opportunity to hit the gym whenever they are available. Many gyms today operate 24 hours per day to give customers the privilege to come and go as they please!

2. Pilates. Maybe you’re looking for something that is a little less fast-paced and more relaxing. Pilates is great for strengthening and toning muscles and does not necessarily have to be completed at a local gym. Don’t like to workout in front of others? Pick up a DVD and complete the workouts in the comfort and privacy of your own home!

3. Kick Boxing. For a more fast-paced workout, try out a kick boxing class. Though these workouts tend to be more on the intense side of things, it’s a blast! This type of fitness program addresses every aspect of your body by constantly mixing up the exercises and keeping you moving.

4. Cross-Training Gyms. This type of workout program has recently become extremely popular. It uses an intense combination of cardio and strength training exercises to improve overall endurance and physical fitness. Gyms that offer this type of workout typically focus solely on this program and often do not offer any other programs.

5. Sports. It’s nice to combine physical fitness with a hobby you enjoy. Simply joining a local intermural sports team is a great way to enjoy staying active! These leagues are typically inexpensive and practices and games are usually held during evenings and weekends to accommodate those who work.
