Father’s Day is just around the corner and the perfect opportunity to spend quality time with your family. Here are some fun Father’s Day activities to suggest to your family for a fun-filled day:

Put all your hard work on your treadmill or elliptical to the test. To get some quality outdoor time with your family, going on a hike is a great option. Hiking up and down hills helps build endurance and control weight, and is also a good stress reliever. Find a trail near you to begin your adventure. Just remember to play it safe when exercising outdoors so no one gets sunburned or dehydrated.

Go Swimming

Whether at the beach or the local pool, swimming is a fun Father’s Day activity everyone will love. Swimming is not only fun, but is also a great strength and cardio workout. Bring pool toys like a Frisbee and play swimming pool games to add to the fun and intensity of the workout.

Go for a Bike Ride

If you and your family have bikes, taking them on your local trail for Father’s Day is perfect for seeing the sights and letting everyone get in some cardio and strength exercises. Like swimming, riding a bike is low impact and can be as intense or as easy as you want.

If you and your family are avid cyclists, you can turn up your biking adventures a notch by finding a more advanced trail to bike on. If you prefer an easy ride, there are many beginner trails you can bike on and resources to help you find the right trail for you.

Go to the Museum

If you’re a big fan of museums, many have Father’s Day special events that you and your family can take part in. In addition to seeing everything the museum has to offer, walking around all day will give the whole family a fun way to exercise without even knowing it.
