Last Minute Gift Giving Tips

December 16, 2014

It seems like every year we never allow ourselves enough time for Holiday shopping. We always run out of time and stress ourselves out over picking out the perfect gift. If you find yourself in a bind similar to this one, try out a few of these last-minute gift giving tips this year:

1. Get Crafty. Not every thoughtful gift has to cost a lot of money. Creating something from the heart will go a long way. Knit a blanket, paint a coffee mug, etc. You can personalize each gift and they will appreciate the time and effort you put into creating them something special.

2. Create a Theme. This one is easy…get a basket and pick an overall theme to center all of the little gifts around. For example, buy their favorite movie, get a tub of popcorn, and fill it with all of their favorite movie snacks and drinks. It goes much farther than simply giving them a DVD!

3. Do Something Fun. Not everything has to be wrapped. Sometimes, going out and experiencing something new or fun can make a great gift too! Take your brother-in-law to a football game, or treat your niece to an afternoon of lunch and shopping, etc.

4. Cater to Their Interests/Hobbies. Think about what types of interests or hobbies that they like, then you have a base to start brainstorming ideas. For example, if they graduated from college, any alumni gear would be a great gift you can be sure they will love.
